During the past years Ethiopian food imports have increased with an annual rate of 21%, from 0.866 billion US $ in 2009 to 2.738 billion US $ in 2015.

Thanks to successful export products such as vegetables and fruits, coffee and tea, Ethiopian food exports increased by 13% annually, to now more than 2.4 billion US $.
